The apartment view.

We arrived at Melbourne Airport early in the morning, from Singapore our plane touched down at 6:30, and we were tired. As soon as we arrived we did two important things, laundry, and buying breakfast after that, a bit of sleep.

Late in the afternoon, we went out, not much we walked through, tired from our flight especially Clara was recovering from something we didn't know in the end we didnā€™t have much time to see the city of Melbourne.

Day 1

Australia didn't receive us very well. Clara wasn't getting better so we visited the doctor first in the morning.

There was no apparent reason to worry, some malaria pills and rest, otherwise, in 3 days we should have gone back.

What to me, I'm no expert here, meant that Clara had malaria, and the pills did the work, but we will never know if that was the illness.

After all medical activities, we took the free old tram 35 that does a circle around Melbourne, quite cool and you could visit almost every area in the city center.

Out stop was close by Chinatown for the best Ramen in town, whether is the best or not I don't know, but it was delicious totally worth it! I don't think I hadn't tried better Ramen before.

The city was covered by clouds, but we walked along the Yarra River from the south face, the city perspective changes completely, it looks way nicer, it has an amazing skyline.

After that long walk, we headed home with a quick dinner at 7eleven, Clara felt quite weak so we headed back to rest

Day 2

Australia was a road trip kind of trip and we picked up our van from Cruisin' it was so awesome to be living in a van for the month! The van was amazing, it had stove fire, fridge, sink and, all kitchen utensils, it had a couple of beds and it was quite big for what I expected! So excited to tell you all about that in the coming stories.

As soon as we picked up we went to the camping area in Melbourne. Straight after we decided to do the groceries, a big one actually, and we had lunch.

In the late afternoon, Clara was still recovering, the Malaria pills were taking all her energy so she decided to stay in the van and I went back to Melbourne for the sunset and some night pictures.

That was incredible too, I love the city at night, the skyline around the Yarra river it's wonderful, it really makes the difference for Melbourne. It took me a while to find the places I had in mind, but I took the tram back to the camping happy with the results. I only had wish Clara could have walked around with me.

Day 3

First night at the Van was actually pretty good, I was quite impressed by the number of stars you can see from this camping in Melbourne. We woke up not too late, and headed to the city, Clara was feeling better and we spent the whole day walking around.

First we visited Victoria Market, I was expecting it differently, there were too many clothes instead of local stuff, on the other side the food was amazing, they had some organic products, plenty of fruits and vegetables, but the best was the delicatessen area, incredibly good food, they even had exotic kangaroo.

After lunch, we went to Albert Park for the Formula 1 circuit, the F1 was happening that weekend. We didnā€™t see any F1 cars but the races were insane, those cars were running super fast, it was scary to see how fast they went.

Since we had St Kilda pier close by we went for the sunset, and it was fantastic as well, unexpectedly we saw penguins! A colony that resides there with more than 400 of them, very healthy for such a spot full of tourist.

It was a tough long day, but really good to experience the city vibes.
